Bikes Walks & Trails
Kildare is a stunning county in Ireland (we’re biased!) with plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. From beautiful natural landscapes to rich historical landmarks, Kildare has something for everyone.
One of the best ways to explore this beautiful county is by taking a cycle, walk or hike. You can hop on a bike at the door and cycle our local paths and country lanes and walk our local trails and country roads around the pretty village of Kill, Palmerstown Estate and nearby canal paths.
Or, if you fancy exploring further afield, below we’ve listed some of our favourite walks and trails to explore in Kildare.

The Curragh is also an important area for horse racing in Ireland and you may even see racehorses being trained or catch a race if you time your walk right. The Curragh is also steeped in history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to prehistoric times. It was also the site of several significant battles, including the Battle of Curraghmore in 1646.
