Our Environmental Commitment

Caring for the environment is central to what we do. Guided by our Green Key–focused Environmental Policy, we’re dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and operating responsibly across every part of our hotel.

We actively work to:

- Conserve energy and water, while minimising waste through strong recycling, reuse, and reduction initiatives.

- Source local, organic, and eco-certified products, including fresh herbs grown in our own on-site herb garden, where our mixologists handpick mint for cocktails and garnishes — ensuring freshness and sustainability.

- Provide ongoing sustainability training for our team and encourage guests to take part in our green practices.

- Support community and cultural initiatives that contribute to long-term sustainable development.

As part of the IHG Green Engage program, we continually measure and improve our environmental performance using over 200 “Green Solutions” to reduce energy, water, and waste.

All IHG hotels, including voco The Club, maintain at least Level 1 certification, with higher levels achieving up to 25% energy savings — helping us move closer to a more sustainable future.

By choosing to forgo housekeeping services during your stay, you help us conserve water, energy, and cleaning resources.

As a thank-you for your eco-conscious choice, you’ll receive 500 IHG One Rewards points.

Supporting Cleaner Travel

We’re committed to supporting cleaner, greener travel.

voco The Club offers electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, making it simple and convenient for guests driving electric or hybrid vehicles to recharge while they relax or work.

We’re also proud to partner with CUPRA, offering guests access to our electric courtesy car service. This collaboration reflects our shared passion for innovation and sustainability — providing a stylish, zero-emission way to travel locally while reducing environmental impact.

For those who prefer pedal power, we also offer bicycles on site for guests to use — encouraging eco-friendly exploration of the surrounding area while promoting wellness and reducing carbon emissions.

Reducing Our Food Footprint

Our Journey to Carbon-Free by 2028

Alongside our initiatives in greener stays, local sourcing, and electric mobility, we’re working towards becoming a carbon-free hotel by 2028.

This means focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and offsetting any remaining emissions — ensuring that every guest experience contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Sustainable Bedding Commitment

At voco The Club, we’re also taking steps toward a more sustainable sleep experience.

In partnership with Vision Linens, our bedding range is transitioning to eco-friendly, recycled materials certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

This includes pillows and duvets made with recycled synthetic fills designed for comfort and reduced environmental impact.
